DiManEx and Werk24 Partnership

DiManEx, a leading end-to-end Additive Manufacturing platform, and Werk24, an Artificial Intelligence Leader for Technical Drawings announce a partnership with the potential to accelerate the adoption of Digital Inventories.

Additive Manufacturing allows the economically justified on-demand manufacturing of parts. It creates a whole new mindset in stock management: rather than building new physical warehouses for goods with unclear retrieval dates, OEMS can now build digital warehouses and create the parts exactly when and where they are needed. This frees capital that was previously locked in stock and even allows OEMs to shut down whole warehouses. DiManEx’s end-to-end platform allows corporates to realize that potential with proven workflows and best practices.

Together, DiManEx and Werk24 are removing a hurdle, that has hindered some companies to adopt digital warehouses: identifying parts that are suitable for 3D-printing. Software based assessment of printability of parts often requires retrieving information from 2D Technical Drawings. These files are exceedingly difficult for machines to understand and thus required engineers to spend a huge amount of time working through thousands of drawings.

Werk24 changes this. Its Artificial Intelligence uses Computer Vision and Machine Learning to read the Engineering Drawing the human way and within seconds provide the information required to evaluate a part’s printability. DiManEx integrates this information into its Machine Learning based digital parts assessment and workflow, and by doing so adds an important puzzle piece to the end-to-end Additive Manufacturing process – from part identification to delivery.

The partnership equips DiManEx customers with two liberating advantages: (i) they receive swift and scalable feedback on thousands of PDF/TIF drawings, and (ii) their involvement of the internal engineering teams is reduced to a minimum, freeing up valuable engineering capacity.
